Mr. Hasitha K. Weththimuni, the principal of Dharmasoka College, made a request to the OSUK members during his speech at the Old Sokians-UK Annual General Meeting (2016) to support the school by uplifting the well-being of staff and students. At the same instant, all the members discussed and agreed to fund the washroom refurbishment project and managed to collect well over £ 2000 to support this initiative.

As the 1^st phase of this initiative, a senior school staff washroom was refurbished at a cost of £552.00 (Rs 104,571.00) with the help of free labor. Col. Saveen Semage managed the above project and successfully delivered on January 2017.
